"Tell me everything!" I heard Abigail shriek in my ears. Thank goodness Chase went to go park the truck. 

"What do you mean?" I say laughing on the inside about her eagerness.

" I mean how was the date?" She says still screaming in my ear.

"It wasn't a date, he just dropped me off here because we both agreed the bus was disgusting and gross."

"You didn't faint did you?" She asked worried and thankfully she stopped shrieking.

"No I did not faint. I was surprised myself about that one." I say. I really was surprised. I guess I just got used to being around him.

“Really? You’re not just saying that? Because that is so not something to joke about, Lucy!” She didn’t call me Luce. I was so used to somebody calling me Luce. 

“I swear I didn’t faint!” I say. Why does she keep bothering her, she just wants to sleep.

“I’m so proud of you!” Abigail hugged her

Sighs, “Abigail, I just want to sleep.”

“Fine! Fine! You’re going to crack though, and tell me from excitement, and if you snore again tonight I will slap you.” Abigail said sternly. Did she mean that?!

“You would not slap me in my sleep!” I say, still not believing her.

“I will if I have to.” Abigail told her. She rolls her eyes and flops on the bed falling asleep instantly

"No. Rock n roll has never gone out of style and never will!" Chase says
Chase and I were talking about what they had on the radio. They were saying it was out of style. Chase didn't believe them.
"Apparently experts say that rock and roll went out of style a long time ago, Chase!" I've started being able to talk to him or vice versa without fainting. We were driving in his truck, and it wasn't one of those fancy rich kid trucks, he built it with his own two hands.
"Well the experts are wrong, Luce." I still haven't found out why he calls me that though.
"Why do you call me Luce all the time now? My name is-"
"It fits you better, and I know what your name is, it's Lucy Crown the girl who pays more attention to her notebook than her hair." Chase interrupts
"How do you know my last name? And people know me as that?" I ask
"Yes and I admire you for that. And I know your name because I look at your.... Passport." Chase said that last part awfully slowly.
"You look at my passport?" I say slowly.
"I was looking for mine and got interested." He said. He was lying, I just knew it. I would have said something but that's when we got to the hotel.

“What?” Abigail says, “Girl, you’ve got it bad, and by bad I mean bad!”

“What do you mean?” I say, still a little dazed.

“First of all, you FAINTED over a boy. Second, you still look a little pale, which by the way is turning into a normal thing.”

“What! I am not pale!!” I say while touching face

“Honey, that’s not the point, and you are by the way, the point is that you should just ask him out. Without fainting this time.” She says

“WHAT?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!” I say so loudly one of the DEATH teachers with hearing aid looks over, “Sorry, but Abigail, I’m not going to do that! He probably doesn’t even like me!”

“You never know until you try.” She says

“I’d rather not know thank you very much.” He’ll probably say I’m too pale, apparently, or something like that.

“Hey, Luce.” Chase says. I don’t faint this time so that’s probably a good thing.

“Hey, Chase” is something wrong with me? Am I dreaming?

“Want to sit next to me on the bus on the way to the hotel?” What the heck just happened? Am I literally dreaming right now? Seriously, this is one of the best friends that has ever happened to me, but is this some kind of joke? I’m not going to wait around to find out!

“Sure” I say, while walking towards him.

“Do you think she’s okay?” I hear, I think Abigail’s, voice.

“I don’t know.” I know his voice instantly, Chase

I shoot up, all of a sudden feeling dizzy.

“I think she’s going to puke!” I hear one of my classmates say, I think Jonathan. I can’t remember though.

“Shut up” I say, “I’m not going to puke! I just need to sit down”

“What happened?” Chase says, with those brown eyes I can’t resist. I think I fainted in front of him! God, that’s embarrassing!

“What? I mean, nothing, just jet lag.” This is kind of true if you think about it, we have been on a plane 12 hours straight. Why does he have to be so FRIGGIN CUTE?! Why can’t he be a snooty rich kid? Why does he have to like indie bands and Rock n’ Roll like me? Because he’s Chase.

“That’s good. Wouldn’t want you to miss this trip. I’ve never been to Europe either so it can be a little scary, I know. But don’t worry, you have me.” Is he hitting on me? Nah, he’s just trying to be nice, like friends.

“GOOD GOD GIRL!” I hear Abigail’s voice immediately, “What the hell happened? After Chase had left I said,

Chapter 1

Lucy had never seen Europe before this school trip. Yet, unlike Lucy, everyone in her class had been there more than once. She had never had that much money. Her mother never had a real job. The only places she’s worked at are places like Walmart and Fast-food restaurants. Lucy, however, loved to working at one place. She didn’t like working at numerous places. So she still didn’t have a job. All the other kids had jobs though, places like Movie Theaters or famous boutiques. Then again all the other kids were rich, so it didn’t matter, they were still popular. All of a sudden one of the kids screamed. Lucy stopped writing for a second and looked, it was her classmate, Clementine, she had found a bug. Some girls were wimps. Why do they always scream at the littlest thing. Lucy goes back to her writing, because frankly Clementine had never seen a fly before. Then her best friend Abigail comes over.

“Hey” I say

“Sup” Said Abigail, “Did you see what just happened with that fly? I almost peed my pants the way she screamed like that!”

“Ha I know right!” I say

“look who’s coming over! It’s your ‘boyfriend’!”

“Shut up!” I say, but to be honest I wish it was true. His name is Chase, he has all the qualities that I like in a guy: Short brown hair, brown eyes, and the gorgeous smile helps.

“Hey, Luce” Chase says

You know what I do next? I faint.
